This time our build of the month is an AR15 upper. To give you guys an example of our parts selection, we have built this entire upper with in stock components here at the store.

We wanted our build to have a slick modern look to it so we started with an Odin Works stripped upper receiver. This model has sleek lightening cuts across the side and omits the forward assist for maximum weight savings. To continue with that look we used the Odin Works 15” O2 Lite free float hand guard. This hand guard looks great and performs awesome. M-lok at 3, 6, and 9 o clock with a small section of Pic near the rear and up front for a sight. The balance and weight of this hand guard is top notch.

We decided to go with a Ballistic Advantage 16” 1/7 5.56 gov profile barrel with a mid length gas system by Strike Industries. This combo gives us good velocity while not sacrificing too much mobility, all while not over gassing the system. The gov profile along with the skeletonized gas block helps keep the weight down. Top that off with a VG6 Precision Epsilon 556 muzzle brake to really keep it shooting flat. The VG6 utilizes a 3 prong design with a 2 stage brake that sets it apart in the vast ocean of muzzle devices.
For the heart of the build we chose the extremely durable phosphate BCG by Spike’s Tactical. This is a mil spec type BCG with the M16 cut on the tail. Spike’s makes some really good stuff and this BCG won’t disappoint. Paired that with a Strike Industries extended latch charging handle to finish off the guts. Now to the attachments. We used the BCM KAG angled grip for our hand stop. Great little add on and priced very well. Here at X Products we love a good set of iron sights, so we slapped an awesome set on this build. The Daniel Defense rail mounted fixed sights are a fantastic choice for sights. They give you durability and co witness ability in a small bombproof package. To finish it off we chose to hang a Surefire M300C weapons mounted light with 500 lumens off the front. A great little option from an outstanding company, highly recommended.

In the end we have a slick modern looking upper with that 16” velocity and weight savings parts that is sure to turn heads at the range.
